I've been involved with PostgreSQL as a user and an applications developer since version 7.2.3. It is an exceptional piece of work. If you're interested in or require a relational database for personal or commercial needs, you should invest a little of your time with this open source gem. Commercial and professional support is available if you so desire from several companies.
